For decades, the scientific debate on climate change has been conducted continuously according to standard scientific procedures, as with any scientific topic. Since 1990, there has been a consensus among the vast majority of climate scientists, expressed through the IPCC's first Assessment Report. Climaware is not a platform for alternative facts that contradict the accepted facts of decades of research. However, we are open to alternative opinions based on these accepted scientific facts as long as a harmonious and constructive culture of discussion prevails.

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) reviews all relevant scientific publications on climate change and summarizes the statements and findings for heads of state and government. The IPCC reports therefore include virtually all available scientific sources on climate change.

Experience has shown that a personal face helps to convey knowledge content. However, we are open for feedback!

No, because Climaware is and remains not profit-oriented. Nevertheless, the initiative should be financially viable and it may be that in the future special information services, such as lectures or workshops, will be charged. Our main contents (Podcast, reports, videos, etc.) remain however free!

Climaware's mission is described on the website. The underlying motivation is to preserve a life-friendly environment, a stable world climate and peaceful coexistence with other living beings, so that we as a human species can have a desirable future that is inter- and intra-generational. This means that all people should have the same right and the same chances to live a healthy, peaceful and happy life. Our main drivers are peace, freedom, security and compassion.

Especially with regard to the "Black Lives Matter" movement and equal rights for women, we would like to make a clear appeal against any form of racism, discrimination and structural disadvantage in our society. The fact that more and more white, male persons have their say in podcasts and videos is due on the one hand to our contact circle in Germany and on the other hand to a still existing overrepresentation of whites and men in such debates. However, we are making every effort to participate in a necessary change.

So far Climaware is 100% self-financed with funds from the founder's circle of friends and acquaintances. In the future we will try to receive financial support from foundations, donors and through grants.
